Missionary Data Agreement

This agreement applies to you as a missionary using MissionConnect to collect and communicate with newsletter subscribers. It supplements the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Roles

For data MissionConnect collects through subscribe forms on your behalf (subscriber names, email addresses, subscription status, delivery records), you (the missionary) determine the purpose of the communication and the audience. MissionConnect provides the technical means to collect, store, and deliver. You and MissionConnect are therefore joint controllers under GDPR Article 26 for that subscriber data.

For your own account data (your email, profile, password), MissionConnect is the sole controller.

2. Your responsibilities

• Keep your subscriber list to people who genuinely consented or opted in.
• Respond to subscribers if they contact you directly to exercise their rights (access, rectification, erasure).
• Use exported subscriber data only to communicate with those subscribers about your mission work, never for unrelated purposes or third-party marketing.

3. Our responsibilities

• Run double opt-in for new subscribers and one-click unsubscribe in every newsletter.
• Honour the data-protection commitments in our Privacy Policy: encryption in transit, restricted access, EU hosting, breach notification, and the retention schedule.
• Notify you within 72 hours if we become aware of a breach affecting your subscribers.

4. Acceptance

By clicking "I agree" on the acceptance prompt, you confirm you have read this agreement and accept your role as joint controller for subscriber data collected through MissionConnect.
